We have completed development of the Allpum APF and APH cable ties — built to meet two demanding requirements, fire safety and high-heat durability — and sales have now begun.

Why flame-retardant and heat-resistant cable ties matter

Standard nylon 66 cable ties are enough for most wiring jobs. But it is a different story in installations with electrical fire risk, or in environments exposed to sustained high heat. If an electrical fault ignites a fire, standard material can become a path for it to spread, and prolonged exposure to high heat can make the material stiffen and crack, losing its holding strength.

For these installations, Suryong Industrial has developed the APF cable tie, made from flame-retardant grade resin, and the APH cable tie, built to withstand high heat. Both are produced at our Thailand subsidiary and fasten the same way as standard Allpum cable ties, so crews can start using them right away without extra training.

APF Series — Flame-Retardant Cable Ties

The APF series is made from UL94 V-0 grade nylon 66 resin, which helps limit how far a fire can spread. UL94 V-0 is one of the strictest flammability ratings, confirming that the material is self-extinguishing once the ignition source is removed — making it a good fit for switchboards and telecom equipment where electrical fire is a risk.

APH Series — Heat-Resistant Cable Ties

The APH series uses UL94 V-2 grade nylon 66 resin, engineered to keep its holding strength and flexibility even at temperatures up to 120 °C. It resists cracking and breaking under prolonged heat, so it can safely bundle wiring around hot components.

About UL certification

The UL94 V-0 and V-2 ratings used by APF and APH describe the flame-retardant grade of the raw resin itself, not a UL certification of the finished cable tie. Suryong Industrial is currently preparing UL certification for the finished APF and APH products and will share an update once it is ready. If your project specifically requires a UL-certified finished tie, please contact us and we will let you know the current schedule.

01

Proven material

Made from UL94 V-0/V-2 grade nylon 66 resin, giving a proven baseline for flame-retardant and heat-resistant performance.

02

Wide operating range

APF performs reliably from -40 to 85 °C, and APH up to 120 °C.

03

Full size range

Five lengths from 100 to 300 mm are available (270–300 mm are still in development testing).

04

Familiar installation

Installs just like standard Allpum cable ties, so no extra training is needed to start using them.
